Yesterday, Palm Springs reached a high temperature of 94°. That is 13° above seasonal average of 81°. Today will be very similar with temperatures expected to reach into the 90's across most of the region.

Area of high pressure dominates the forecast

An area of high pressure aloft is keeping conditions warm and keeping conditions dry. This ridge will keep temperatures across California above seasonal average. For some places reaching up to 20° above normal. Warmer conditions will persist through the weekend with a very slight cooling trend into next week.

Staying warmer than normal across the region with sunny skies

The mountains will look at temperatures in the 70's. Areas along the coastline in Orange County will see temperatures closer to 80°.

A slight cooling going into next week but only by a few degrees. Cooler temperatures move back in by the end of next week as an area of low pressure begins to move into the region.

Veterans Day will still be in the upper 80's
