Temperatures cooling through Tuesday, warming back up mid-week
Yesterday in Palm Springs was a warm day. The high temperature reached 76° where the normal was 70°. Today will be a cooler day. The ridge of high pressure keeping us warm is moving east and a trough of low pressure is moving in.
This trough of low pressure is spreading high level moisture to the region and is expected to bring cooler temperatures, back near seasonal, as well as increasing cloud cover and a chance for a sprinkle or light shower for the mountains.
Chances are slim. Futurecast showing chances for the late morning, then again for the late afternoon and into early Tuesday morning. The most of the region is just looking at increased cloud cover and cooler temperatures compared to the weekend.
Your hour-by-hour forecast on this Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. day, showing temperatures in the upper 60's by lunch time. Dew points will be closer to 30° today.
Temperatures will remain cool into Tuesday. Then, high pressure moves back in Wednesday through Saturday, warming temperatures back into the upper 70's heading into the weekend.
