Feeling the heat and it’s only getting hotter

Warmer than what we felt yesterday, Palm Springs has reached 111° this afternoon. An average high temperature would be 96°.

Both Palm Springs and Thermal have hit their hottest temperature of the year (so far) though no records were broken.

The warming trend hasn't peaked just yet with the next two days ready to bring the heat just a bit more. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect through 7:00 p.m. Friday.

The one day this week Palm Springs will near a record is Wednesday. The record of 112° was set in 1968. The current forecast brings us close to a tie!
