Cool and dry for now, showers likely late next week

High clouds will limit daytime heating today, meaning temperatures will continue to stay below the seasonal average (74 °).

Moderate Santa Ana winds, which are set to last through Monday, will also contribute to the cooler conditions. Breezy winds will remain for areas along the 1-10 freeway while lighter winds are expected for other valley cities.

A seasonal warm up will occur on Monday but cooler temperatures will return later in the week. An incoming trough of low pressure is set to lower temperatures back into the 60s and increase the chance of rainfall by Thursday. At this time, the best chance for rainfall looks to be Friday with lingering showers into Saturday.
