Northerly winds bring cool overnight temperatures

A chilly night is ahead for Southern California. Northerly winds will weaken over the next 12 hours but have left behind cooler air. A Frost Advisory has been issued for areas in the Inland Empire west of the Coachella Valley for tonight.

Following a cool morning, daytime temperatures will warm to the mid 60s for Super Bowl Sunday. Expect sunny skies and dry conditions for your watch party.

Dry conditions will continue for much of the upcoming week, but there are early indications of another round of precipitation. Data from the Climate Prediction Center shows Southern California and areas around the region may see wetter than normal conditions by next weekend.

Before another round of wet weather, high pressure will build and send temperatures back to the low 70s for daytime highs. Overnight low temperatures will warm to the low 50s toward the end of the upcoming week.
