Wind, rain, and snow to follow long mellow weekend

Mid to upper 70s and mild conditions continue through Monday, but light winds continue to make a difference on the roads. Visibility and air quality have been challenging in some spots and will likely become more difficult in the days ahead as winds increase.

Light rain is also expected locally on Tuesday and Wednesday. A Flood Watch stretches through the San Gorgonio Pass to include North Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs given some of the heavier rain expected in areas surrounding the valley. This may contribute to difficult driving conditions and possible road closures in the west valley.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been extended for nearby mountain communities through Wednesday morning. Wetter snow is expected with accumulation above 3" expected above 7000 ft. in elevation.

Drier, warmer conditions follow this week's round of rain.
