Winds increase as temps decrease

Gusty winds will usher in cooler temps gradually over the next few days. We topped out at record levels yesterday, hitting triple digits for the first time this year in Palm Springs. Thermal hit 100 on Monday, making this day two of triple digits for the East Valley.

High pressure will move out as low pressure pushes in from the West, bringing those gusty winds and much cooler weather by the weekend.

Today will still be well-above average, with highs in the lower and middle 90s as the heatwave continues but declines.

I'm looking for a high near 95 this afternoon, still about 12 degrees above normal for the date.

Highs continue to drop into the lower and middle 80s through the weekend. Should be a great weekend for the Galleri Classic at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage and all across the Valley!
