Staying warmer than normal through the first week of November

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – It's a beautiful Sunday across the Coachella Valley! Some passing high clouds today have helped keep our temperatures in the low 90s today, though that's still about 5° above the seasonal average for this time of the year.

Tomorrow, we're likely to see similar conditions to today. Highs in the low 90s are expected again, though the high pressure that has been dominating this weekend will begin to weaken Monday and into the middle of the week.

Even in a week from now, though, our extended look at our temperatures indicate continued warmer-than-normal weather.

As high pressure weakens, it should help us cool ever so slightly, likely into the upper 80s by the middle of the week. A system well to our north will increase onshore flow Wednesday/Thursday, so we could see some breezier & cooler conditions then, though again, we'll still be warmer than normal for this time of year. High pressure returns into next weekend and highs should rebound into the 90s.

And for my fellow desert Dodger fans... if you have Monday off (or are calling in sick for a very important reason) and are heading to LA to celebrate the Dodgers' back-to-back World Series championships, here's a look at what you can expect weather-wise in Los Angeles. The World Series parade is set to start at 11:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Expect some patchy fog in the morning before mostly sunny skies by the afternoon!
