Temps in the 90s to start the week, followed by big changes

High pressure continues to deliver hotter than normal conditions.

Yesterday we set a record high in Palm Springs as the mercury climbed to 95!

The heat will continue into tomorrow for Veterans Day, so temps again will be in the lower 90s.

A significant storm system arrives later this week, dropping temps dramatically. We'll see highs in the 70s. The chance of rain is fairly small, but do expect some rainfall Friday into Friday evening. Total rainfall for the Valley will be 0.25" or less, but elsewhere (in the mountains, coastal plains) we'll see as much as an inch to an inch and a half of rain around the region!
