Warm today, but rain by Friday and into the weekend

Changes are coming fast for SoCal as a Pacific storm moves in. Today we'll remain above average, but temps drop dramatically by Friday with rain and gusty winds.

Expect highs near 90 this afternoon, but that will quickly be a thing of the past as soon as tomorrow.

The Pacific storm will increase winds starting tomorrow, with rain developing by Friday morning.

Rainfall totals will be heavier in the mountains and high desert, but we are likely to see as much as 0.25" 0.50".

We are likely to see periods of rain from Friday morning through early afternoon, followed by another round of potentially heavier rain on Saturday. Sunday will be drier, but the chance of showers continues into early next week. Highs will be markedly cooler, in the 70s from Friday through Tuesday of next week as the slow moving low pressure moves through.
