First Alert Weather Alert: Showers likely through this afternoon

Rainfall has lightened up this morning, but we'll continue to see periods of showers for this Friday, then skies will clear out for the weekend and the Holiday week ahead! An area of low pressure lingers just off the coast and will move through SoCal and Northern Baja tonight and push East tomorrow. A First Alert Weather Alert remains in effect until 7 this evening.

A Winter Storm Warning is up for the mountains and there are flood watches posted surrounding the Valley.

Rainfall totals are trending lower as we move into the afternoon, which means the showers will be fewer and farther between, but still persistent. Expect a total of perhaps 0.50" through late tonight for rainfall totals.

Highs well below average today, but will trend upward as we move through the weekend and into next week. Closer to seasonal norms most of the week, with sunshine and dry conditions. That means that the travel dates surrounding Thanksgiving, as well as the holiday itself, are going to be absolutely gorgeous (weatherwise).
