Sunny and warmer for Thanksgiving week!

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – Hello, sunshine! It's been an absolutely gorgeous day so far as the clouds have parted, giving way to clearer skies and drier weather after the last week of cloudier and rainier conditions.

Temperatures are set to be very comfortable tomorrow. We're in the middle of a warming trend as we work our way through the upper 70s and low 80s pretty much all week long. Expect highs near 76° for your Monday.

It's been a tale of two months in November so far. We've seen a streak of cooler weather after record-breaking heat in the 90s started the month.

This week is set to nudge us back towards near- or above-normal temperatures, but in about a week's time, after Thanksgiving, we're expecting to see another cooldown. We're eyeing next weekend for the next active weather in the region.

This week, we'll steadily warm into the upper 70s and low 80s through the middle of the week. An offshore wind pattern begins to set itself up on Tuesday. This will usher in a weak Santa Ana wind event; winds are not expected to be an impact locally, but that's what's behind the drier, warmer conditions for the holiday. Fire risk is largely being mitigated by the rain we received last week.

Expect a sunny and warm Thanksgiving about 5 to 10 degrees warmer than normal ahead of increasing rain chances and cooler weather returning next weekend!
