Mild weather in the Coachella Valley as Thanksgiving travel ramps back up
THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – The weather has been fantastic all day long! Mild conditions and clear, sunny have persisted for the thousands of visitors we've had for Thanksgiving – absolutely picturesque!
A lot of folks are likely to be returning home over the next couple of days. If that means heading back to some of our northern states, like the Great Lakes region, you could be seeing some snowfall! Rain has begun impacting the south this evening, too.

Locally, highs remain on the warmer side for tomorrow. As we round out the weekend, expect those temperatures to peak in the mid to upper 70s, which is still roughly 4-5° above the average temperature.

Gradual cooling continues through the weekend and beyond. Some weak offshore flow (Santa Ana winds) develop Monday and Tuesday, which will likely lead to drier conditions. Wind impacts appear minimal. By the middle of the week, temperatures are expected to drop back into the low 70s, if not upper 60s.
