Temps remain above average well into next week

This mild spell continues unabated as we head toward the weekend. High pressure remains firmly in place across the Desert Southwest, and that's keeping temps about 10-15 degrees above our seasonal norms.

The warmer weather is impacting the entire Western U.S. despite rain to our North. The rainfall has increased, along with more runoff precipitation due to the warmer weather allowing for less snowfall.

Highs today on the Valley floor will hover in the lower 80s.

Looking ahead, very little changes until the latter part of next week, when we should see some decline in temps. The 80s will stay with us through midweek.
