Tracking mild afternoons and cool mornings

Today has been nothing but gorgeous locally. Highs are mild, and the sky is mostly clear, aside from a few lingering upper-level clouds. Winds are mild, and the air is dry here at the surface thanks to a lingering offshore pattern. Thankfully, the winds have calmed down from yesterday.

Thanks to a mix of the moderate afternoon highs and the low humidity, our overnight temperatures are easily able to cool off greatly. This will allow temperatures to fall down into the 40s for most, if not all, valley cities. Overall, the weather pattern remains very benign. There may be a few lingering clouds this week as a weak ridge of high pressure builds into the region. Wednesday will be the cloudiest day. There will be a general warming trend next week that will keep us warm through the end of the month.

As mentioned before, expect cool mornings and warm afternoons with calm winds over the coming days.
