Tracking breezy & mild weather for the rest of the workweek

It's a lovely day here in the Coachella Valley as temperatures are limited to the 80s. It's also a bit breezy outside. We should expect breezy to gusty conditions outside this evening, as well as tomorrow. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Coachella Valley, the San Gorgonio Pass, and the local mountains. This advisory will remain in effect through 11:00 PM Thursday. There is also an Air Quality Alert for windblown dust and sand in effect through 11:59 PM Thursday as well.

The winds are playing a key role in moderating our temperatures. We should expect these winds to continue over the next few days as the weather systems overhead move around. Keep this in mind as you make plans for Villagefest tomorrow - it might be on the breezy side. The winds will gradually weaken as we head into the weekend. High pressure will build over the region, leading ot a warming trend. Highs will be above average this weekend and next week as afternoon temperatures climb into the 90s.

Expect breezy and mild weather for the rest of the workweek. This weekend will begin a gradual warming trend that will take us into the 90s. Highs remain on the warmer side heading into next week, but it will overall be very comfortable, especially as we begin to welcome festivalgoers.
