Thunderstorm potential is higher today

Humidity coupled with more instability means a better chance of thunderstorms today. Monsoonal moisture wrapping around ridge of high pressure will be even more prevalent today, meaning the chance of storms has increased for this afternoon.

FutureTrack data indicates the potential for those storms to reach the Valley later this afternoon.

Temps today will be a bit below our seasonal average of 109, and cooler numbers are in the forecast the rest of the week.

Temps are looking even better through the weekend.
