Cooling and drying trend through next week

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — The ridge bringing higher temperatures to the Valley is now being disrupted by a trough in the Pacific Northwest.

This has pushed highs to near or below seasonal averages.

Dew points remain slightly elevated today but will begin to drop this evening into Saturday morning. So, while today may call for loose, dry-fit clothing, more comfortable conditions are around the corner.

Over the next couple days, temperatures will continue to be influenced by the trough in the Pacific Northwest, leading to a cooling trend into Wednesday, with temperatures returning to the 100 degree mark.
