Tropical moisture moves out

As Hurricane Polo came ashore in Baja, California parts of the Coachella got hit by a tropical thunderstorm, specifically over Indio Hills. Runoff from that storm has closed a portion of Dylan road, but the storm moved out quickly after putting on a spectacular lightning show.

Polo will track inland across Northern Mexico and then into New Mexico by tomorrow as a tropical depression. High pressure will build back into SoCal, drying us out quickly, and warming us up a bit above normal.

Dew points should recover quite quickly, dropping off into the 40s by the afternoon.

Daytime highs look good today in the middle 90s.

For the rest of the week, highs will be slightly above average, hovering near 100 degrees.
