Person drowns in Palm Springs, PSFD confirms

A person has drowned in Palm Springs.

The incident happened in the 1900 block of Ana Maria Place at around 3:15 p.m.

The Palm Springs Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed the patient was dead on arrival, PSFD Capt. Nathan Gunkel told News Channel 3.

Gunkel said the Palm Springs Police Department remains at the scene.

PSPD spokesperson Tamara Wadkins said the drowning appears to be accidental. Police do not believe there is anything suspicious.
