Police investigate after shots fired near grocery store in Coachella
Police were called to investigate after shots were fired in the Food-4-Less parking lot off Highway 111 in Coachella at about 2 a.m. Thursday. A large number of shell casings could be seen scattered across the area.
A black Ford Mustang with red stripes and a missing driver’s side tire was seen in the parking lot. Two people were detained for questioning, but deputies said nobody was arrested. Nobody was injured in the shooting.
Deputies continue to investigate the shooting incident. KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 will deliver updates as we hear back from the sheriff’s department.
