Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs second job fair canceled
Officials have told KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 that the August 7th job fair has been canceled. A new job fair has been scheduled on August 31. Updated job fair schedule: Monday, August 21 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday, August 31 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The hotel is seeking to fill about 150 available jobs, including guest service agent, conference service manager, director of housekeeping, general maintenance engineer, lead bartender, assistant food and beverage director, pastry chef, sous chef and more.
About 400 hundred applicants registered for the first job fair back in July. Hotel management said they were looking to hire local as they believed it would help bring success. “We’d like to hire as many people from the Valley as possible. We have imported a few managers but even most of our managerial staff is from the Coachella Valley,” Abe Liao, general manager of the Rowan Palm Springs, said. “We’re excited to bring these jobs to Palm Springs” Candidates who attend the job fair are encouraged to bring a resume. Those who miss today’s fair will have one more chance to apply at a fair scheduled for Aug. 21 at the same time and same place.
