Free business program aimed to help Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs
Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to take part in a free program that will teach them the basics of business.
The Emprendedores program will begin on Tuesday at 4PM at the Coachella Valley Small Business Development Center in Indio located within the Workforce Development Center. It is offered by the Riverside County in partnership with the Consulate of Mexico in San Bernardino, in which entrepreneurs will take part of two-hour training sessions over a 8 weeks. Experts will offer entrepreneurs help with their business plan along with training in marketing, sales, business financing and human resources.
Community leaders and partners will speak at the event, along with Supervisor V. Manuel Perez.
“My focus is to create more jobs and economic development, and I am glad the county and Mexican Consulate are offering this program for free and in Spanish to encourage small business creation,” said Supervisor Perez.
The Emprendedores program will run through October 3, and graduates of the program will receive one-on-one counseling with a business consultant.
