According to Cal Fire, firefighters discovered smoke from an electrical panel and quickly contained it.

After further investigation by DHS police officers, the cause of the fire appeared to be as a result of faulty electrical wiring which was connected to an illegal marijuana grow located inside the residence.

According to DHS PD, detectives executed a search warrant and seized over 700 marijuana plants in various stages of growth from the residence with an estimated street value of $1,000,000.00.

The occupants of the residents fled prior to police arriving at the scene. No injuries were reported in the fire. The investigation is currently ongoing.
