iRecover Treatment Center holds ribbon cutting ceremony

In honor of National Recovery Month, a brand new treatment facility held a ribbon cutting ceremony in Cathedral City on Thursday.

iRecover Guest Treatment Centers ceremony from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. includes speakers, food and live music open to the community. The facility is located on 37-066 Bankside Drive.

iRecover is a Canadian based company, founded by Jim Gray. After 3 years of service to hundreds of suffering addicts and alcoholics Jim’s passion for recovery led to bringing in longtime friend and independent filmmaker Christian Sesma.

Sesma partnered with the facility to help addicts on their road to recovery.

“What this is, is a message from me. personally a message of hope and advocacy of what i-Recovery stands for. We’re really here to have a program that is an answer to the mental illness of substance abuse and alcohol,” said Sesma.

The center offers 6 to 8 week programs, it includes 30 beds for detox and treatment.

iRecover calls itself a tech-driven addiction recovery program. All participants receive their own tablet, with courses specific to the center to create a interactive experience.
