Yucca Valley man accused of several burglaries

Authorities in the high desert arrested a man after he allegedly committed several burglaries in the Yucca Valley area.

On Thursday, detectives from the Morongo Basin Station were conducting a follow up investigation for multiple burglaries. That investigation led them to Thomas Brown, 37, of Yucca Valley.

He was located on the 2900 block of Star Lane, police say he resisted arrest but was taken into custody after a brief altercation with deputies.

Brown also had three active warrants for his arrest relating to burglary, domestic violence and possession of a controlled substance.

Brown was transported to High Desert Medical Center, with minor injuries. He was eventually medically cleared and booked into Morongo Basin Jail for his warrants.
