Bicycle Bait program aims to prevent bicycle thefts

The Palm Desert Business District Team and Special Enforcement Team conducted a Bicycle Bait program aimed to apprehend suspects and prevent bicycle thefts.

They conducted the sting on Friday at businesses where previous bicycle thefts happened.

33-year-old, Brian Madigan and 29-year old, John Mahaffey were arrested as suspects involved in the grand theft located in the 73600 block of Hwy 111, located in the city of Palm Desert. Both suspects were booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio for grand theft and conspiracy.
