Two PSUSD teachers honored with roadside billboard in DHS
Two Palm Springs Unified School District teachers were honored with a roadside billboard in Desert Hot Springs Wednesday morning in recognition of being named Riverside County Teachers of the Year. Both teachers work in Desert Hot Springs.
The billboard was placed on Palm Drive just south of Dillon Road.

The two teachers being honored are Michelle Beyronneau or “Mrs. B”, a math teacher at Desert Hot Springs High School and Dr. Brian McDaniel, band director at Painted Hills Middle School.
Beyronneau mixes in quotes from Star Wars and Harry Potter in class to help engage students in math.
Dr. McDaniel uses unorthodox methods like kung fu, yoga, and dance to help teach breathing capacity. He has also grown the band program at the school where currently more than a third of the student body take part in the program.
Both teachers are now in the running for state teacher of the year.
The billboard was unveiled at 6:45 a.m. and will remain up until mid-October.
