Four men arrested after Walgreens burglary in Palm Springs

Four suspects were arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing multiple bottles of prescription medication during a burglary at a Walgreens in Palm Springs.

Palm Springs police responded to the burglary shortly after 1 a.m. at the Walgreens on 1700 block of East Vista Chino.

When officers arrived they found that the suspects took multiple prescription bottles and drove off in a gold Cadillac Sedan.

Officers searched for the suspects but were unable to locate the suspects or the suspect vehicle.

Two hours later Palm Springs police was contacted by the West Covina Police Department. West Covina officers conducted a traffic stop after observing the suspect vehicle in the area of Puente Avenue and North Garvey Avenue heading westbound on I-10.

The driver, Lequan Miller, and passengers, Marcus Fantroy, Johnny Newman, and Jamel Sanders, were all detained without incident.

Multiple bottles of prescription medication with labels from the Walgreens of the Palm Springs pharmacy burglary were found in the car.

PSPD Detectives responded to the West Covina Police Department to conduct an investigation and arrested all four suspects.

They are facing multiple charges including felony burglary and conspiracy to commit crime charges.

Lequan Miller was also found in violation of his active probation.

They were later transported to the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
