Aldi market in Palm Springs temporarily evacuated
Shoppers were temporarily evacuated from the Aldi supermarket in Palm Springs as firefighters investigated an issue at the store.
Palm Springs Fire Department officials confirmed a water heater malfunctioned and caused some smoke at the store, which is on Ramon Road near Gene Autry Trail.
There was no fire, according to officials, and no damage. The store was reopened a short time later.
