First Alert Weather Alert Day: rain falls across the Valley

Another winter storm is bringing more wet weather to Southern California.

A Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for the San Gorgonio Pass and the San Bernardino and Riverside County mountains that will last through 9 p.m. Wednesday. Sustained winds in these areas are expected to reach 20-30 MPH with peak gusts at 55 mph.

Moderate rain will move through this morning and taper off in the afternoon.

Ahead of the storm, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the San Bernardino mountains and surrounding areas due to the risk of flooding from excessive runoff.

This system will also bring more snow to our local mountains, with snow levels expected to drop to 6000 ft. by this afternoon.

Conditions are likely to clear and dry out by Thursday. As the storm system departs, we will begin to see our daytime high temperatures recover into the mid-70s.
