Cal Fire announces memorial services for three fallen firefighters
The CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department is mourning the tragic loss of three firefighters.
To honor their memories, memorial services for Fire Captain Tim Rodriguez, Assistant Chief Josh Bischof, and Pilot Tony Sousa will be held on the following dates and locations:
- Memorial Service for Fire Captain Tim Rodriguez
- Date: Aug. 21
- Location: Ontario Convention Center, 2000 E Convention Center Way, Ontario, CA 91764
- Memorial Service for Assistant Chief Josh Bischof
- Date: Aug. 24
- Location: Toyota Arena, 4000 Ontario Center, Ontario, CA 91764
- Memorial Service for Pilot Tony Sousa
- Date: Aug. 25
- Location: Private Lakeside Ceremony, Gerber, CA
The specific times for each memorial service will be released at a later date.
In a press release, the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department says, "Family is deeply saddened by these losses. The dedication, commitment, and courage of our fallen firefighters will always be remembered. Their unwavering service to our community exemplifies the highest values of our department and the firefighter profession."
