The win for Indio is significant as it snaps a 36-match win streak for Coachella Valley. This victory marks the first time since Oct. 10, 2019 that CV has lost a league match, the same date that Indio last beat CV.
The Rajahs were led by former Student Athlete of the Week Joselin Martinez who had 17 kills.
The two rivals will meet again in the final match of the league season, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 12 at Coachella Valley high school.
