Heavy traffic expected as Power Trip attendees leave the Coachella Valley

Power Trip weekend has come to an end and festival attendees were starting to make their way out of the Coachella Valley Monday morning.

Tens of thousands of people attended the festival from all over the world, meaning the flow of traffic will be impacted as people begin the trek home.

Traffic is likely to become heavier, namely on Interstate 10 heading west, by this afternoon.

Attendees who camped on the festival grounds are required to leave by 10:00 a.m. while those who stayed in hotels were expected to check out by 11:00 a.m.
