Four people overdose at Palm Springs Cemetery

Two people were hospitalized after a mass overdose event at the Palm Springs Cemetery Thursday afternoon.

The call first came out at approximately 12:40 p.m. The initial caller reported two subjects suffering from an apparent overdose.

"As Cathedral City Officers were responding, dispatchers were informed there was a possible third overdose victim. Cathedral City Officers were first to arrive and learned there were four people suffering from overdoses," writes CCPD Sergeant Daniel Anes.

Officers rendered aid by administering two doses of Narcan before Cathedral City Fire arrived and took over treatment.

There was no word on what the patients overdosed on. We've reached out to the Cathedral City Fire Dept. for further information.
