Fire damages home in Cathedral City, no injuries reported
Firefighters were on the scene of a fire at a home in Cathedral City this morning.
The fire was reported just before 9:00 AM at a home on Avenida El Mundo.
Fire Chief Michael Contreras told News Channel 3 at the scene that the fire spread from the Chimney Chase onto the wall outside the house.
The Cathedral City Fire Department successfully put out the fire before any major damage was done to the home.
Fire crews want to remind viewers to make sure to only burn materials safe for a fireplace and to keep up with maintenance.
There were no injuries reported.
