Firebirds start homestand with shootout win over rival Wranglers
The Coachella Valley Firebirds defeated the Calgary Wranglers 4-3 in a shootout at Acrisure Arena.

Logan Morrison had the only goal in the shootout. Chris Driedge saved 29 shots, including all five in the shootout.

John Hayden, the first goal scorer has been on a hot streak as he scored his 8th goal on the season and fourth in last three games.
With the win, the first-place Firebirds earned their sixth straight point and improve to 25-12-4-1 with 53 points on the season.
The Firebirds stay at home and play the Wranglers for game two of their two-game series. Puck is set to drop at 7:00 p.m.
