Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will reopen Saturday, close again Monday-Wed to finish repairs to rain damaged roadway

UPDATE:

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will reopen for Saturday, February 3 and Sunday, February 4 after temporary road repairs were completed today following damage caused by this week’s storm. Regular weekend hours will resume with the first car up at 8:00 a.m., the last car up at 8:00 p.m. and the last car down at 9:30 p.m.

The Tramway will then close Monday through Wednesday (February 5-7) to complete permanent road repairs with reopening tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 8.


2-2-24 UPDATE: Palm Springs Aerial Tramway officials announced Friday morning that due to road damage leading up to the Tramway Station they have made the decision to close for the day as crews work to repair the damaged road. Officials tell us to check back later today about plans for the weekend.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is closed due to weather-related damage to the road, officials announced Thursday afternoon.

Officials did not share specifics on the damage to the road.

There is no word on when the tram could be reopened.
