Motorcyclist killed in crash, driver arrested in Desert Edge

California Highway Patrol confirmed a gray Dodge Charger was heading eastbound on Dillon Road and tried to make a left turn on Desert Crest Avenue. That's when the motorcyclist of a Kawasaki, who was reportedly traveling westbound on Dillon, collided with the Charger.

Investigators said the front of the motorcycle hit the right of the Charger; the impact reportedly ejected the motorcyclist, who died on scene.

CHP confirmed the driver was not hurt. Investigators believed alcohol was a factor in the crash and arrested the driver.

Investigators were on scene of a crash involving a motorcycle.

It was reported off Dillon Road and Desert Crest Avenue.

Investigators on scene confirmed with News Channel 3 that the driver involved in the fatal collision was not hurt but arrested; alcohol reportedly appeared to be a factor in the crash.

The identities of the driver and motorcyclist were not yet released.
