Gradual warming continues into the weekend

Happy Friday. Daily highs continue to gradually rise into the weekend. Despite the warming, temperatures continue to cool off nicely overnight, giving us lows in the 60s for the early morning. Conditions remain dry, and winds remain calm. Overall, there are no major weather concerns here locally.

An area of low pressure has split/is in the process of splitting away from the main jet stream today. This cutoff low will linger to our west/southwest in the coming days. Gradual warming continues into the weekend with highs peaking late this weekend/early next week in the low 90s, hovering around the average for this time of year. While the weather will be mild here, there is a slight chance for some severe weather for our friends to the east. The cutoff low will move into the region around the middle of next week, dropping us back down to the mid/upper 80s.

Overall, there isn't much to complain about with our weather. It will be a bit early this weekend and early next week, but it's within the range of normal for this time of year. It's feeling like fall here in the Coachella Valley.
