Firebirds beat Barracuda in San Jose for first win of 2025-26 season

COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) -- The Coachella Valley Firebirds are finally in the win column for the 2025-2026 season.

The Firebirds defeated the Barracuda in San Jose on Wednesday night at Tech CU Arena by a final score of 6-3.

The Firebirds outshot the Barracuda 34-27 and goaltender Nikke Kokko made 24 saves on 27 shots.

Coachella Valley is now 1-2-1 on the season.

Their next two games are in Calgary against the Wranglers on Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25.
