Tracking a wet welcome to 2026
Good morning and happy almost new year. We are tracking some cloudy skies again today as moisture moves into Southern California. Shower chances will increase throughout the morning and into the evening hours. Don't expect temperatures to warm up all that much, thanks to the extra moisture and cloud cover. A Flood Watch is in place for areas to our west beginning at 10 PM this evening.

Looking ahead at our FutureTrack, we can expect the potential for showers throughout the day and the evening. There's even a chance for some showers as we ring in the new year. Rain chances continue throughout most of the day on Thursday, January 1, 2026. However, the chances for wet weather will taper off into the evening. There is still some disagreement between models on rainfall totals, with a few tenths of an inch possible for some areas.

Tomorrow will be the coolest day of the week as skies stay cloudy, and a few showers are possible. Expect highs in the upper 60s/low 70s with partly cloudy skies for the first few days of 2026
