Coachella Prospera initiative installs free solar panels for residents

COACHELLA, Calif. (KESQ) - Coachella Prospera, an initiative under the city of Coachella, will install the first set of solar panels for a resident in the area. GRID Alternatives is a project partner of Coachella Prospera, and they'll be installing 75 solar systems in the area for free. Officials say the goal is to reduce energy costs for residents and create a greener future for the city.
