Halloween brings a few tricks to the desert: High in 70s, chance for rain

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — It's Halloween, and temperatures are below 80 degrees!

While cooler temperatures will make trick-or-treating more comfortable, some rainfall could throw a trick into your treat. However, the best chances for rain arrive after around 9 p.m. tonight.

Forecast models show desert areas receiving anywhere from 0.10 to 0.30 inches of rain. Although majority of the rain will come overnight and in the early morning, be sure to use extra caution while driving tonight as rain could reduce visibility.

Overnight Accumulation

Although it's shaping up to be a wet weekend, warm sunshine should bring blue skies back to the valley by Monday, with highs in the low 80s expected through next week.

And don't forget: Clocks fall back overnight tonight, so enjoy that extra hour of sleep!
