Warm Weekend Before Cooler, Windier Pattern Change

Stunning Saturday across the Coachella Valley as we enjoy more dry and warm conditions through the weekend as high pressure keeps temps well above average.

Highs are running 10-15 degrees warmer than normal, with most locations reaching peak heat Sunday and Monday.

A gradual cooldown begins Tuesday as onshore flow returns, setting the stage for a more active weather pattern by mid week. Cooler temperatures, increasing winds, and a chance for some light precip across SoCal arrives Tuesday into Wednesday, but the valley itself is likely to see limited or no rainfall.

Our bigger impact will be breezy southwest to west winds which may impact desert areas Tuesday and Wednesday, especially near mountain passes.

Looking ahead, unsettled weather could linger into next weekend with another system bringing continued cooler temperatures and slightly better chances for showers to reach the valley.
