Tracking breezy & mild weather for the rest of the week

Spencer Blum

It's been a very mild day here in the Coachella Valley. The overcast conditions for the beginning part of the day played a large role in limiting our temperatures. The breezes this afternoon are also helping to keep temperatures on the mild side. It will be a great evening for Villagefest in Downtown Palm Springs. Keep in mind that a Wind Advisory is in effect for the Coachella Valley through 11:00 PM. An Air Quality Alert is in effect through 11:59 PM.

The winds will stay elevated for the rest of the workweek, but will be a bit calmer on Friday. That trend will continue into the weekend. High pressure will return to the region for the weekend, causing a warming trend. Highs will climb into the 90s. These warm temperatures will continue into next week, before cooling back down to the 80s by about a week from now.

Temperatures will remain mild for the rest of the workweek. Then, temperatures will climb into the 90s. Highs will remain in the 90s into next week, but will fall back to the 80s toward the end of the week.
