Rancho Mirage resident Robert Mueller announces run for city council

The Rancho Mirage city council race is heating up once again. Robert “Bob” Mueller, a Rancho Mirage ‘resident, executive, and community leader’ will announce his candidacy for Rancho Mirage city council on Thursday, Feb. 1st at 5 p.m. at Las Casuelas Nuevas Restaurant. The announcement about his announcement came through a campaign news release.

Mueller pled his case in the news release, stating “It is time for fresh ideas and fresh faces on the Council.” Elle Kurpiewski, a Rancho Mirage resident and Mueller supported, echoed her candidate’s sentiment later in the release.

“Clearly, the time has come to challenge the current, long time in office, administration…Bob Mueller is ready for the challenge and ready to lead!”

The city municipal election will take place on April 10th by mail-only ballot. Five council spots will be filled in the election. The terms are four years in length and there are no term limits. The Rancho Mirage city council members are also responsible for appointing the city’s mayor each year.
