YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) - A 37-year-old man from Yucca Valley was arrested this week after being accused of possessing multiple images of child sexual abuse material, authorities announced Friday.

Dowland Ernest Christian Lee was arrested Tuesday by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. Lee was officially charged with Possession or Control of Child Pornography. He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday via video, however, the hearing was not held, according to court records.

The case dates back to June 11, when Detective Holguin from the Specialized Investigations Division – Crimes Against Children Detail received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) concerning the upload of child sexual abuse material.

During the investigation, Detective Holguin identified Lee as the suspect.

Investigators served a warrant on Tuesday to search Lee’s electronic devices, at which point they found multiple explicit images of child sexual abuse material.

Lee remains in custody at the West Valley Jail in Rancho Cucamonga on $30,000 bail.
