Two detained after stolen vehicle located on I-10 in Cabazon

CABAZON, Calif. (KESQ) - Two people were detained after a stolen vehicle was spotted traveling on the westbound I-10 in Cabazon on Thursday afternoon.

The incident started just after 3:20 p.m. when deputies received a FLOCK alert regarding a stolen vehicle. With the assistance of the Sheriff’s Aviation Unit and K9 Unit, the stolen vehicle was located traveling westbound on the 10 freeway.

Deputies initiated a vehicle stop on the 10 freeway near Malki Road, where they detained two subjects.

Viewers called into the newsroom and reported a large police presence in the area at the time with the I-10 exit briefly closed.
