Coachella Valley Lakers to open inaugural season on Nov. 6

KESQ / CV Lakers

PALM DESERT, Calif. (KESQ) - The Coachella Valley Lakers are set to play their first-ever home game at Acrisure Arena on November 6, officials announced on Friday.

The CV Lakers will officially tip off their inaugural season at Acrisure Arena on Friday, November 6 against the Salt Lake City Stars. The 2026-27 campaign will feature 48 total games.

The schedule also include the Lakers welcoming Mexico City to the Coachella Valley for a pair of games on February 25 and 26. The team will host over 24 home games at Acrisure Arena during the season.

The Coachella Valley Lakers are the G-League affiliates for the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers, developing the next generation of NBA players, with 60 NBA call-ups across 38 players, including Austin Reaves.

The team was previously known as the South Bay Lakers, playing in El Segundo from 2017 to this past season. In April, the CV Lakers announced their move to Acrisure Arena starting in the 2026-27 season.

Last season, the CV Lakers posted a 26-10 regular-season record, securing the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

The team is currently without a head coach, as its previous coach, Zach Guthrie, was recently named an LA Lakers assistant coach and head of player development.

Season ticket deposits are open to the public and available online at coachellavalleylakers.com. Season ticket deposits are available starting at $100 per account and are fully refundable at the time of seat selection.
